Copywriter
I studied English at Exeter University, so writing – and reading – have always been important to me.
Over the last four years I have developed my writing skills professionally, working as a freelance copywriter.
Writing for creative businesses and artisans
I can help you tell your story
Having run my own small business, I understand the pressures of having to wear various hats whilst keeping several plates spinning. We're all expected to produce relevant and interesting material for our websites and social media platforms these days and I can help.
If you're just too busy fulfilling the other demands of your business, or the thought of writing turns you cold, let me take the pressure off.
I offer support and practical help by producing web text, regular blogs, press releases and features to keep your customers in touch with what you're doing.

Hay Baby
Press releases I wrote for my own brand, Hay Baby, led to regular coverage in the press. This one reached a national audience, published in the Saturday Telegraph Magazine and translated into commissions and sales

Freelance copywriting
I regularly write for a specialist PR Agency. The writing is varied and some of it is fairly technical. I enjoy the precision and the challenge of making something dry and difficult, appealing to a more general audience. I write blog posts, course outlines, website text, press releases, case studies and magazine articles for a variety of clients.
I particularly enjoy the creative aspects of the work, interviewing clients for case studies and features. People love to talk about what they do and I like bringing their personality, as well as what they have to say, to the page.
If you would like me to do some writing work for you, please get in touch.
